374. ROSEDALE

The Rosedale tomato is an indeterminate heirloom variety developed by Bill Jeffers in Evansville, Indiana. This mid-season plant produces medium to large, beefsteak-type fruits, typically weighing between 200 to 400 grams. The tomatoes are flattened at the poles with rounded shoulders and exhibit a purplish-pink skin. The flesh is thick, juicy, and dark red, offering a rich, sweet flavor reminiscent of its parent, the ‘Cherokee Purple’. The plant features potato-leaf foliage and reaches a height of approximately 2 meters. It provides a reliable yield from mid-season until frost. Gardeners appreciate the Rosedale tomato for its unique coloration, exceptional taste, and robust productivity.
