The Märchenengel tomato, translating to “Fairy Tale Angel” in English, is a captivating variety developed by the German breeder Kleverhof as part of their “Märchen” series. This semi-determinate bush produces an abundance of bottle-shaped cherry tomatoes, each weighing between 5 to 25 grams and featuring a small pointed end. The fruits mature to a beautiful cream-white hue with dark purple shoulders, while the white flesh offers a crunchy texture and an exotic, mild, sweet flavor. Notably, ‘Märchenengel’ exhibits high resistance to late blight and delivers a very good yield. The plant thrives in both garden settings and containers with a minimum volume of 15 liters. For optimal production, it is recommended to avoid pruning the plant. The typical maturation period is approximately 75 days.
