The Märchenwald tomato, translating to “Fairy Tale Forest” in English, is a distinctive variety developed by the German breeder Kleverhof. This indeterminate plant produces medium-sized, round to oblate fruits weighing between 60 to 100 grams. The tomatoes are forest green with dark purple shoulders, and the flesh is lime green. They offer a sweet flavor with some acidity and an exotic aroma. Märchenwald tomatoes are resistant to late blight and are suitable for outdoor cultivation, greenhouses, or pot culture with a pot size of 15-20 liters.
