The Janet’s Jacinthe Jewel tomato is a striking variety developed by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in California. This indeterminate plant produces large, beefsteak-type fruits that can weigh up to 1 pound (approximately 450 grams). The tomatoes are bright orange with subtle golden stripes, offering a sweet, fruity flavor with juicy, meaty flesh. Due to its late maturity, typically around 90 days, it’s best suited for regions with longer growing seasons. Gardeners appreciate its good to very good production, especially in the latter half of the season. However, in cooler climates with shorter summers, achieving full ripeness may be challenging.
