483. COPIA

The Copia tomato is a visually striking heirloom variety resulting from a cross between ‘Green Zebra’ and ‘Marvel Stripe’ tomatoes. Named in honor of COPIA, the American Center for Food, Wine, and the Arts in Napa, California, this indeterminate plant produces large, beefsteak-type fruits weighing approximately 10 to 12 ounces (280 to 340 grams). The tomatoes showcase a stunning combination of fine-lined golden yellow and red stripes on the exterior, with gold flesh streaked with red inside. Known for their sweet, juicy, and flavorful taste, Copia tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption, adding vibrant color and rich flavor to salads and gourmet dishes. They typically reach maturity around 85 days after transplanting.
