24. BUSH FRENCH BEAN (Phaseolus vulgaris)

Bush French beans, also known as dwarf French beans, are a popular, compact variety of green beans that do not require staking or support. They produce tender, stringless pods that are typically 4–6 inches long and have a sweet, crisp texture. These beans grow quickly, maturing in about 50–60 days, making them ideal for successive plantings. They thrive in warm, well-drained soil and require full sun for optimal growth. Bush French beans are excellent for fresh consumption, steaming, sautéing, and freezing, making them a staple in home gardens and commercial farms.
