512. BRADLEY

The Bradley tomato is a cherished heirloom variety introduced in 1961 by Dr. Joe McFerran of the University of Arkansas. This semi-determinate plant reaches a height of 4 to 6 feet and is well-suited for Southern regions, particularly thriving in warm, humid climates. It yields abundant, smooth, pink fruits weighing approximately 7 to 10 ounces, known for their mild, old-fashioned tomato flavor. The Bradley tomato is resistant to Fusarium wilt and Alternaria stem canker, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. Its concentrated fruit set and uniform ripening make it ideal for canning, freezing, and fresh consumption. Maturing in about 75 to 80 days from transplanting, this variety continues to be a favorite among tomato enthusiasts.
