510. BLACK MOUNTAIN PINK

The Black Mountain Pink tomato is a rare heirloom variety originating from the Black Mountain area in Harlan County, Kentucky. Discovered at an abandoned homestead in 1993, this indeterminate, regular-leaf plant produces large, pink beefsteak fruits that can weigh over 1.4 kilograms (3 pounds). The dense flesh exhibits a deep rose hue with garnet streaks and offers an excellent sweet flavor. Maturing approximately 90 to 95 days after transplanting, ‘Black Mountain Pink’ is prized for its meaty texture and outstanding taste, making it a favorite among heirloom tomato enthusiasts.
