444. BIG GREEN DWARF
The Big Green Dwarf Tomato is a compact heirloom variety developed through the Dwarf Tomato Project, introduced in 2014. A cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Cherokee Chocolate, it grows as a dwarf, determinate plant, reaching 3-4 feet, ideal for containers and small spaces.
Its medium to large, oblate fruits weigh 6-14 ounces, featuring green flesh with amber/yellow skin when ripe. The mild, fruity flavor has a hint of melon. It matures in about 70 days, yields heavily, and is generally disease-resistant, though monitoring for foliage issues is advised. A great choice for small-space gardeners.
